CHAPTER I / Paulo Leite x Duarte Eira

Some flavours stay with us, even as we move from place to place.

Originally from Aveiro, Paulo Leite found a home for his cooking in the Azores. Along the way, encounters, lessons and memories became part of his story, now returning to the table at À TERRA Ponta Delgada.

The Chef’s Journey was born from this path: three dinners in which the executive chef of Octant Ponta Delgada welcomes chefs he has worked with, bringing together the places that shaped his story and the produce of the archipelago.

The journey begins on 17 October with Chef Duarte Eira, from Salpoente in Aveiro. Connected by a city they share, the two chefs reunite for a dinner that evokes Chef Paulo Leite’s roots and the flavours of his hometown.

Smoked eel, salt cod and Morgado do Bussaco are part of this conversation between Aveiro and São Miguel. Chef Paulo Leite brings the Azores to the table, while Chef Duarte Eira brings his culinary approach from Salpoente.

The result is a tasting menu accompanied by a wine pairing.
